History & Mission
The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University is higher education's first interdisciplinary institute focused on the social, economic, education, and policy issues impacting veterans and their families. The IVMF delivers programs in communities, as well as career and entrepreneurship education to servicemembers, veterans, and their families. The IVMF also provides actionable and national impacting research, policy analysis, and program evaluation.

We fill the gaps between veteran service organizations by helping nonprofits connect with veterans, their families, and caregivers. Our programs bolster nonprofit efficacy, improving their results, and empowering their initiatives.
